Team Maine has officially captured the 2014 Division Championship at the 2025 New England States Rivalry Challenge, capping off an incredible tournament run with dominant play at both ends of the ice and an unforgettable finish.
Down by a goal with just five minutes remaining in regulation, Maine dug deep and found a way to battle back. The team tied the game late to force overtime, setting the stage for one of the most dramatic moments of the tournament. In the extra frame, Maine completed the comeback in thrilling fashion, scoring the overtime winner and securing the championship.
From the opening puck drop to the OT winner, Team Maine displayed elite-level effort, structure, and skill. The team battled through a competitive field and continued to rise to the occasion, combining strong defensive play with timely offense throughout the weekend.
Cameron Tabone was a standout performer all tournament long, leading the team with seven points and delivering clutch plays in key moments to help power Maine’s championship run.
With a perfect blend of offense, defense, and leadership, Team Maine finished the tournament undefeated, earning the 2014 division title and etching their name into Rivalry Challenge history.
